Here’s the Menu:
You’ll find it toward the very top of the page. It allows you to some important places quickly:
- Home – By clicking here, it will take you back to the homepage, no matter where you are in the site.
- Yiddish Links – This is a list of some other Yiddish resources on the web we feel are important to promote.
- About Us – This page tells you about Yiddish Lives, why it exists, and what you can to do be a part of it.
- Tour the Site – Well, obviously you’ve figured this one out alreay, since you’re on this page right now!
- Contact Us – Here we provide you the opportunity to reach out to us. Tell us your thoughts, send suggestions, or even provide us with people to videotape.
- Find It! – Perhaps the most important page of all, this lists all content on the site. Find people, songs, topics of interest, all in an index, just like a book.
Video Carousel:
Just below the menu is the Video carousel. Click on any of the pictures and you’ll be taken immediately to the video posting. Or, click on the white arrows – left or right – and you’ll scroll through other featured videos.
Here’s the new Search Bar:
Continuing down below the carousel is the menu.
On the left, you’ll see where you are. You can see this picture was taken while we were on the home page.
On the right, you see a search box that says “Find Something” with a “search” button next to it. To use it, just type what you’re looking for right over “Find Something” and then click search. We suggest you only enter one or two words to specify what you’re looking for.
The Videos:
This is where you see all the Yiddish interviews, songs, conversations, lectures, and comedy routines that are our true purpose. Just click on a picture and we’ll take you to the video.
Email Subscription:
From now on, you can see every new video from your email inbox. On the right of the videos, you’ll see “Get Updates by Email”. Simply put in your email address and click the “Subscribe” button to the right and we’ll send you an email when we put up new features.
Categories:
All our content falls into one of these categories. Click on the topic you’re interested in and you’ll see a list of all videos on that subject.
